An executive partner when you need one.
The defining problem of our moment is the mismatch between the growing demands on our organizations and the firepower available to deliver on them. How much clearer would the future look with an experienced executive alongside you amplifying your capacity for high-quality work and bold decision making?
You, your company, and your team face opportunities and challenges that are personal and specific. But they are almost never unique. Bringing to bear the experience of a seasoned leader who has solved big problems in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors can get your organization to the right answer, right away.
Sometimes the goal is clear but the path is obscured. Or maybe execution has never been a problem but The Big Idea is always just out of focus. Merging operational reality with big-picture purpose is easier with a thought partner who understands what it takes to translate high level strategy into fulfilling results.
Jeff has made a career through the power of steady, principled leadership. In five years as a nonprofit CEO he boosted receipts from $4 million to $18 million and built a small organization into a key piece of community infrastructure. He led the effort and bargained a landmark first contract for more than 10,000 low-wage home care workers. He oversaw executive agency communications to help ensure the success and visibility of a governor's agenda in the midst of the Great Recession. He's been honored as a C-Suite Award Winner by the St. Louis Business Journal and as one of the 100 People You Should Know in Missouri Politics.
Multimedia channels return to Jeff time after time for incisive commentary on technology, workforce development, politics and government, education, and civic challenges. He has published dozens of pieces in outlets such as Forbes, Entrepreneur, the Harvard Business Review, the Business Journals, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the Missouri Times. He is a regular guest on radio broadcasts and on the dais for chambers of commerce and economic development organizations. Jeff has developed winning messaging for candidates, campaigns, low-wage workers, nonprofits, and a governor.
Jeff understands that relationships are at the core of growth and success for individuals and organizations. He is a staple of the Missouri nonprofit community. He's been appointed to civic leadership positions by two Missouri governors, a Speaker of the Missouri House, the St. Louis County Executive and the City Council of Webster Groves. He has demonstrated regional investment though his involvement in the STL 2030 Jobs Plan Committee, the GeoFutures Advisory Committee, and the St. Louis County Workforce Board. Jeff also served for more than seven years on the executive board of the Missouri AFL-CIO and holds a seat on his church's executive leadership team.
